Dennis Owens is a Principal with Oxy Teknologies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Microbiology and Chemistry, Texas Tech University in 1974 and a MS, Chemistry and Microbiology, Texas Tech University in 1976. 
Dennis has been working in the environmental remedial field since 1985 developing and commercializing remediation technologies for various companies in the United States. These products included various bioremediation and chemical oxidation technologies for both in-situ and ex-situ treatments. Dennis has been involved with Biotech Solutions and PES Inc., both remediation technology suppliers. He has had considerable analytical analyses experience as top level management for Merkert Labs and Micro Environmental Labs. Dennis provides technical consultative services for projects and has proven to be an integral member of the team for chemical oxidation and other technology projects.
- Developed spill response technology product that was featured in National Geographic 94’, PES-51.
- Worked in the oil field in off-shore/on-shore secondary and tertiary oil recovery systems for Texaco, Amoco, Getty and Tesoro Petroleum for 16 years in over 32 different countries.
- Awarded grants and R&D projects that were funded by private industry and the Exxon Valdez Management Council for over $1,000,000 for technology demonstration.
- Organized and Supervised state funded cleanup of 6 miles of oil contaminated shoreline in the Chenaga Islands, AK.
- Developed technology seminar/educational program that educated over 3,000 state environmental employees and private industry technicians on bioremediation.
- Provided bioremediation technology to BFI Bio-remediation centers in Itasca, Ponce P.R., and several others in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. These facilities were taking soil impacted from underground storage tank remediation jobs.
- Provided bioremediation technology to Amoco, Dames & Moore, Tesoro Petroleum, Phillips Petroleum, Texaco, ERS Consulting, ENSR, Getty, Radian, EG&G, URS, Chevron and others.
- On Scene Coordinator at PES for shoreline cleanup and decontamination operations for three major US oil spills in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Galveston, Texas Gulf.
- Managed, supervised and completed over 400 successful remediation projects with state and federal agencies.
