OxyTek is undergoing an unprecedented period of growth and we have expanded our range of products and services. Our new website will provide all the details, but until then here is a brief synopsis:
INTRODUCING THE OxyTek D-ice™ PROCESS
Degradation of Ethylene Glycol in Airport Storm Water
The OxyTek D-iceTM process is a revolutionary method for the degradation of ethylene glycol (EG) and propylene glycol (PG).
The proprietary stabilized oxidant mixture is added to the aqueous EG or PG solution reducing concentrations of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol and it’s by-products COD (chemical oxygen demand) and BOD (biological oxygen demand). The pH range treated varied between 2.5 and 9.0 with varying temperatures from 0◦ to 20◦ C. Application of the OxyTek D-iceTM process in storm water EG and PG retention ponds resulted in a reduction of 10,000 mg/l to concentrations below method detection limits. Further, the OxyTek D-iceTM process eliminates EG and PG odours, in particular where retention ponds exist.
The OxyTek D-iceTM degradation process has already been used at commercial airports with complete success. The technology is sustainable and allows for the cost-effective recycling of the EG and PG wastewater. The treated wastewater can be used on airport grounds for watering of landscaped areas and eliminates the need for off-site recycling or disposal. As an added benefit, OxyTek D-iceTM is highly effective in EG and PG odour control.
The OxyTek D-iceTM degradation process is cost effective and quick! The technology is applicable to airports where limitations restrict EG recycling. In addition, OxyTek D-iceTM degradation technology allows airports to grow in size while not having to invest in capital projects to expand EG storage facilities or to treat this wastewater stream. It is an option every airport should consider.
INTRODUCING ODOUR MANAGEMENT USING OxyTek-OdrTM
A common problem for many industries with a wastewater treatment plant or lagoon is odour control and odour management. OxyTek is introducing a new chemical oxidation product for odour control issues, OxyTek-OdrTM used in a variety of industrial and municipal settings.
Each odour management application is different based on site conditions, nature of odour causing substances and odour abatement programs. We welcome the opportunity to be challenged by your situation.
Here's a switch! We'd like to take the OxyTek challenge...
How?
